Carl E. "Skip" Thomas, 95, or Wheeling, WV went to be with the Lord on June 16, 2025 at Liza's Place, while surrounded by family.
Skip was born on August 15, 1929 to the late Walter Sr. and Martha (polosky) Thomas. Carl was also preceded in death by two children Ronald and David Michael Thomas, two sisters Clara Thomas, Bertie Pissos, and one brother Richard Thomas.
Carl served in the Navy as a Veteran of the Korean war, was a mailman for 38 years, and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife Jo Ann Theresa (Gornik) Thomas of 73 years. Three children Michael Thomas, Terrie (David) Gantzer of Wheeling, Patricia Thomas (Thomas Hoffman) of Tridelphia, three grandchildren Lacey Gantzer (Adam Smith) of Austin, TX, Danny Gantzer(Kelsey Bartoletti) of Wheeling and Tanner Gantzer of Columbia Maryland.
There will be no services at Skips request. Donations can be made to the Animal Shelter of Choice. Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family. To leave a condolence visit www.schuetzfuneralhome.com
