Carl Joseph Micola von Furstenrecht, 68, of Bonaire, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025. Born on April 15, 1957, in Jasper, Indiana, Carl was the beloved son of Simon Micola von Furstenrecht and Maria (Grillo) Micola von Furstenrecht.

Following his graduation from high school, Carl proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he honorably served his country. After his military service, he continued his commitment to national defense through a successful career in electronics with the civil service at Robins Air Force Base, from which he later retired.

A man of many passions, Carl found great joy in sports-especially cheering on Notre Dame football, the New York Rangers, and the Chicago Blackhawks. Above all, Carl was a devoted family man whose greatest happiness came from time spent with his loved ones.

Carl was a man of deep and abiding faith. He was a faithful member and deacon of Sandy Valley Baptist Church, where he was known for his kindness, integrity, and heart for service.

Carl is preceded in death by his father, Simon. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Roberta (Jensen) Micola von Furstenrecht; his mother, Maria (Grillo) Micola von Furstenrecht; his sons: Nathan Jensen of McDonough, GA; Nicholas Micola von Furstenrecht of Bonaire, GA; and Jacob Micola von Furstenrecht (Natalie) of Bonaire, GA. He will be deeply missed by his four grandchildren: Thatorn, Vincent, Gage, and Simon; and sister in-law, Linda Huff.

Carl also leaves behind his siblings: Marco, Simon, René, Justin Micola von Furstenrecht, and Hendrina Cuprey, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Carl Joseph Micola von Furstenrecht will be remembered for his unwavering faith, generous spirit, deep love for his family, and the joy he brought to all who knew him.

"Well done, good and faithful servant." – Matthew 25:23
