Ronald Roy Rowland, 91, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 10:52 a.m. in Carrollton, Georgia.

Born on August 28, 1933, in Peach County, Georgia, Ron was the son of Irene Stembridge Rowland and John Roy Rowland. A proud native of Georgia, he made Warner Robins his home beginning in 1957 and remained a devoted resident there until relocating to Carrollton in April 2019.

Ron was a 1959 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering. A true Yellow Jacket, he carried the spirit and discipline of Georgia Tech throughout his life. He also proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

On March 16, 1957, he married the love of his life, Shirley Virginia Price, in Fulton County, Georgia. Together, they built a life centered around family, faith, and community.

After his military service, Ron built a successful career as a real estate broker. He was instrumental in shaping the industry in Middle Georgia, co-founding the Middle Georgia MLS and serving for over 50 years as a member of the National Association of Realtors, which honored him with the title of Realtor Emeritus. He also served as President of the Warner Robins Jaycees, and was a longtime, faithful member and deacon of Shirley Hills Baptist Church.

Ron's character was defined by his kindness, compassion, and unwavering commitment to helping others. He mentored countless fellow Realtors and was a steady, generous presence in the Warner Robins community.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley Price Rowland; his brother, Malcolm Rowland; and his sister, Sylvia Ivill Rowland.

He is survived by his daughters: Rhonda Sapp Buck (Brian), Wanda Rowland, and Natalie Soles; grandchildren: Taylor Sapp, Sean Sapp (Slayten), Brian Soles (Rachel), Kyle Soles (Kacie), Joel Buck (Rebecca), and Shawn Buck; brothers: William Rowland and Victor Rowland; and many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember his wisdom, humor, and warmth.

Ron Rowland leaves behind a lasting legacy of service, integrity, and love. His life touched many, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A service celebrating Ronalds's life will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 12:00pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory, with a visitation held one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Perry Memorial Gardens. Pastor Andy Cook will officiate services.

With honor, Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.

So sorry to hear of Ronald's passing. Our friendship spans several decades. We had some memorable times during our time in the Jaycee's and later on through Real Estate.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
