Carla Ryan Obituary
She was born on September 18, 1963, to Lester "Jeff" and Colleen (McCollum) Jeffries and was a lifetime Summitville resident. Carla graduated from Madison-Grant High School-Class of 1982. She has worked in the office at Welch Packaging in Marion for more than 20 years. Carla enjoyed everything that was outside, including gardening and working in her yard. Shopping was a favorite pastime as well. A treasured memory for the family was how Carla decorated for each holiday, making each and every holiday season special for her family. She was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts and IU Basketball. Family was the priority in Carla's days, and most importantly was the time that "Meemo" was able to spend with her grandchildren. Carla's beautiful smile will be warmly and fondly remembered.

Daughter-Erin Nicole (Andrew) Becker of Summitville
Grandchildren-Jolynn Ryan, Lily Becker, Kason Knipp and Liam Becker
Siblings-Pennie (Mike) Silvey, Leasa Petty (Bill Cannell), Harold (Becky) Jeffries, Terry (Cindy) Jeffries
Several nieces and nephews
Carla's work family at Welch Packaging and wonderful friends and neighbors
Brother and sisters-in-law
Her 4-legged companion- "Bella"
She was preceded in death by her parents and in-laws-Arthur Sr. and Polly Ryan
Services honoring Carla's life and legacy will take place at 2 pm on Friday, August 16, 2024, in the Owens-Noffze Funeral Home, 1009 West Walnut Street, Summitville with Pastor David Kyle officiating. Interment will follow in Forrestville Cemetery in Boone Township. Friends may call at the Owens-Noffze Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 pm to 8 pm or on Friday after 1 pm prior to the service.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with envelopes available at the funeral home.
The Ryan family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff and caregivers on the 5th floor at Community East in Indianapolis. Also, a warm thank you to Mr. Scott Welch and his family and Carla's work family at Welch Packaging for their caring kindness.
