Carlton Keith Dawes, 69, passed away suddenly on February 17, 2025.
He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late James and Gelena Dawes. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Marty Dawes.
He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a member of Stanley Pentecostal Church. He was an commercial and residential painter, and enjoyed his work. Keith enjoyed time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his brother, Eric Dawes and his wife,Raina and their children, Cara Urbina (David) and their children, Hudson and Luca; Seth Dawes (Rachel); Keith's sister, Tonya Strout and her husband Larry, and their children, Kristin Dowling and husband Parker and their child, Chandler; Nicole Warren and husband Ian and their child Mia; Marty's children, Jason and Kelly Dawes; special uncle, Ben Timmerman and wife Barbara and many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and friends will gather for visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Stanley Pentecostal Church, 113 East Parkwood Street, Stanley, NC 28164 prior to the memorial service at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at the church with Dr. Danny Penny officiating.
