With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Carol Ann (Lynch) Beaulieu, beloved wife, mother, aunt, and friend, on Wednesday, October 30th, 2024, at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was 85 years old.
Carol's warmth, strength, and kindness touched all who knew her, leaving an enduring legacy cherished by family and friends alike. Born on June 22, 1939, in New Haven, Connecticut, Carol's life was rich in love, laughter, and dedication to her family. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1957 and earned her degree in Physical Education from the University of Southern Connecticut in 1961. Carol began her teaching career in Brentwood, NY, where she met and later married her devoted husband of 61 years, Maurice "Moe" Beaulieu, in June 1963. Together, they built a life rooted in love, partnership, and shared values.
Carol was a devoted mother and an unwavering source of support, wisdom, and always ready with a helping hand and a listening ear. She was an active and treasured member of her communities at Lanphier's Cove in Branford, CT, The Plantation in Leesburg Florida, and Elim Park in Cheshire, CT, bringing joy and warmth to those around her. She had a vibrant spirit and an array of passions; she was an avid reader, a skilled card player, loved her trips to the casino, and was an enthusiastic fan of the Food Network. She cherished her daily conversations with her sisters and friends, often catching up in her lift chair or over breakfast with her friends at Elim Park's "Breakfast Club." Known for her genuine friendship and generosity, Carol's memory will be a lasting inspiration.
Carol is survived by her loving husband, Maurice "Moe" Beaulieu; her daughter and son in-law Germaine and Keenan Goldsby, and her son and daughter in-law John and Annamarie Beaulieu, her six grandchildren, Jonathan Beaulieu and his wife, Maria; Jessica Goldsby McCollough and her husband, Sean; Megan Goldsby; Spencer Beaulieu; Tyler Beaulieu; and Christina Beaulieu, and her sisters, Jean Field, Lois Kelly, and her fraternal twin, Nancy Rafferty, and her husband, Thomas.
She was predeceased by her beloved parents, John and Ann Lynch (fondly known as Jack and Nan), and her brothers-in-law, Harold Field and Thomas Kelly.
A Mass of Christian burial to celebrate Carol's life will be held at St. John Bosco Parish in St. Mary Church, 731 Main Street, Branford, on Wednesday, November 20, at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers and in honor of her spirit of generosity and compassion, donations may be made in Carol's memory to Connecticut Hospice at Connecticut Hospice Memorial Gifts.
