Carol Jean Corlett, 72, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 6, 2025, comforted by family, at Saybrook Landing.
Born on November 11, 1952, she was the daughter of George Kneale Corlett and Helen Jean (née Eldred) Corlett. She graduated from Marietta High School Class of 1971. Carol was a resident of Ashtabula most of her life, earning an associate degree from Kent State University. She went on to dedicate 22 years of service as a customer service representative with the Star Beacon.
Carol was known for her love of adventure and especially enjoyed going on cruises, with Mexico being a favorite destination. She also found joy in movies, reading biographies, caring for her cats, Harry and Sally, and, most of all, spending time with her family.
She is survived by her siblings, Roger (Shirley) Corlett, Linda King, and Dana (Toni) Corlett; nieces and nephews, Robert King, David Corlett (Lisa Ann), Mark King (Echo), Lisa Marie Corlett, Kathleen Corlett (Patrick Sieber), and Tim Corlett; great-nieces and nephews, Zach King, Matthew Corlett (Clarrisa), Avery King, Ashley Dermondy (Luke), Ryan Corlett; and great-great-nieces and nephews, Greyson Corlett, Maxwell Dermondy, and Sophia Dermondy.
Carol will be inurned at Lenox Center Cemetery at a private family service.
Memorials may be made to Bella Care Hospice or the Ashtabula APL.
