Carol J. Coss
November 18, 1937 – March 26, 2025
Carol Jean Coss (Harmon) age 87, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, surrounded by family in Howell, MI.
Carol was born on November 18, 1937 in Monroe, MI to Dora May Dutt and George Harmon. She was the eldest of six children.
Carol met and married the love of her life, Kenneth Coss, on March 18, 1960. Together they made a home and raised their children in Monroe.
Carol went on to continue her education after raising her children. After hard work and dedication, she graduated nursing school as an LPN. She truly loved her career, retiring in 2012 after 35 years of service.
After Kenneths retirement, they relocated to Atlanta, MI in 1992. They had a beautiful home overlooking Avery Lake, where many core memories were made with their children and grandchildren throughout the years. Sadly, Kenneth passed away in 2012, they spent over 52 wonderful years together.
Carol was no stranger to slot machines, she rarely turned down an invitation to go on a casino trip. Carol loved a good cook out, but most of all cherished her time with family. Carol will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.
To cherish her memory, Carol leaves behind two daughters: Marcy (Joe Franchini) Foxworthy of Grosse Ile, MI and Debbie Norman of Hart, MI; four sons: Scott Coss of Richmond, KY, Darrin (Sue) Coss of Fowlerville, MI, Darryl (Karen) Coss of New Era, MI, and Steve Coss of Howell, MI; a baby brother, that she loved so dearly, Jim (Paula) Roy of Summerville, SC; plus many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
To addition to her darling husband and parents, Carol is preceded in death by her children: Kenneth Coss Jr., Pam Coss, and Dale Coss; one brother: Tommy Harmon; three sisters: Dolores McNeil, Pat Cloum, and Evelyn Burkey; and son-in-law: Pat Norman.

Carol was a very nice person who was funny, and always had a smile. I was sad to hear of her passing. I'll miss her. God Bless.
