Carol Ann Eyerly, formally of Circleville, Ohio, was called home for her eternal rest in the early hours of December 5, 2023, after returning a year ago to live in Savanna, IL. A funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Law Jones Funeral Home in Savanna, IL with a visitation held prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Please feel welcome to wear your favorite pink attire to celebrate Carol's beautiful life.
Carol was born June 22, 1941 in Savanna, Illinois to Franklin and Garnet Seward. She was educated in Savanna and graduated with the class of 1959. Later that year Carol eloped with the love of her life, William Eyerly, on November 27, 1959, and they began to lay the foundation for a beautiful life together. This union blessed them with three children: Bill, Nikki, and Cori. Carol provided a consistent loving hand with her gentile temperament, guiding her family through both good times and bad. She strove to ensure all learned to appreciate the joy made available by her selfless love. Carol was the best teacher of unconditional love, and you never left her home hungry for food or affection.
Carol is survived by her husband of 64 years, William Eyerly; son, William J (Laurie) Eyerly; daughters, Nicole (Marc Wheatley) Williams and Cori (Jason) Moore; grandchildren, Michael (Olivia) Anderson, Jeffrey Anderson, Jessica (Kregg) Griffiths, Jennifer (Josh) Updike, Mark (Samantha) Eyerly, Sarah (Marcus) Hogle, Matthew Eyerly, Troy Poling, Jacob (Rachel) Poling, Colton (Dakota) Poling, Hazianne (Wade Coffey) Barnes and Zoe Barnes; greatgrandchildren, Lillie, Charlie, Sophie, Colin, Clark, Makenna, Serenity, Brody, Jared, Carson, Odette, Kharissa, Austin, Chance, Kailee, Anthony, Jaken and Corbin; one brother, David (Mary) Seward; long time best friend and partner in crime, Karen Johnston–Woolcock; and special sister-in-law who is more like a sister, Diane Eyerly; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Sandra Seward and Sally Jo Seward-Ray.
