Carol Liermann, 91, a beloved 50 year Libertyville resident, passed away peacefully on March 18th, surrounded by her loving family. Carol was born and raised in Chicago and attended St. Gregory School and Catholic Church. A woman of deep and abiding faith, Carol's life was a testament to her devotion to God and her family. She lovingly raised five children and actively served her community through her work at Marytown in Libertyville and St. Mary of the Lake Seminary in Mundelein. A dedicated parishioner of St. Joseph Church, Carol's unwavering faith and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Carol is survived by her loving children Suzanne (James) Schaul, Mary Kay (Bill) Anderson, Dwayne (Suzanne) Liermann, Martha Liermann and Scott Liermann; her cherished grandchildren Justin and Joseph Schaul, Talor and Sean Anderson and Lily (Jack) Liermann; her dearest sister Eleanor Riley and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Kenneth of 42 years of marriage; her parents Edward and Eleanor Riley; her brother Robert and sister Jean Renner.
Visitation for Carol will be from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm on Thursday March 20th at McMurrough Chapel, 101 Park Pl, Libertytville. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, March 21st at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E Maple Ave., Libertyville with a visitation one hour prior to Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers or trees a donation to the Misericordia Home, 6300 N Ridge Ave, Chicago, IL 60660 would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements by McMurrough Funeral Chapel (847) 362-2626.
