Carol Sue Lorusso, 86, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at her home. She was born November 4, 1939 in Tunnelton, WV, a daughter of the late Charles Lee and Sarah Katherine (Lipscomb) Carrico.

She was a member of Overflow Church and enjoyed volunteering at Christian Help, Salvation Army, and Home League. In her free time, she enjoyed travelling and especially going on cruises and camping. She also enjoyed dancing at the VFW and going to thrift stores.

She is survived by her children, Roxanne Carrico (David Childs) and Jimmy Lorusso (Kelly); grandchildren, David Carrico (Ashley), Dana Smith (Eric), James “Bub” Lorusso (Raven), and Dylan Lorusso (Skylar); great grandchildren, David Carrico, Coner Carrico, Brody Smith, Waylon Dalton, Lainey Lorusso, and Wrenly Abe; sister-in-law, Rosie Lorusso; and former son-in-law, Dave Stone. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Jackie and Margie and her good friend, Jean Carmody.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her spouse, James Albert Lorusso; granddaughter, Sarah Jane Lorusso; and siblings, Ralph (Marie), Richard (Sandy), Wayne, Bob (Carolyn Sue), Dale (Arlis), Joann (Paul).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Animal Friends of North Central West Virginia, PO Box 1090, Dellslow, WV 26531.

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Friday, December 5th from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jeremiah Bostic officiating.  Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover.
