Carol Ann Nesbitt, a lifelong resident of Mahopac Falls, NY passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at the age of 83. She was born in Peekskill, NY on September 11, 1941, the daughter of Paul A. and Helen Bybell Schirmer.
Carol graduated from Mahopac High School, class of 1959. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mahopac Falls, a life member of VFW Post 5491 Ladies Auxiliary, the Mahopac Falls Ladies Auxiliary, of which she joined at age 16 and the Putnam County Ladies Auxiliary.
Carol was an avid bowler and sports fan, especially supporting the NY Yankees and the NY Giants.
She is survived by her daughter, Monica Butler of Mahopac Falls and her son, Paul Butler and his husband, Edward Wheeler of Las Vegas, NV. She is also survived by her four legged friends, Oreo the cat and Lucy and Ethel, her canine companions. She was predeceased by her husband, John Nesbitt in 2004.
Friends may call at the First Presbyterian Church (corner of Secor Rd. and Rt. 6N, Mahopac Falls) on Tuesday, April 1 from 9 am to 11 am where funeral services will take place at 11 am. Interment will follow at Union Valley Cemetery in Mahopac.
