Dorann Duffy
February 17, 1974 – March 31st, 2025
Beloved Daughter, Mother, Sister, Friend
It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Dorann Duffy. She is survived by her three children - Emily, Tyler, and Hailey Woods; her brother, Joseph Duffy and her cousins. Dorann was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joseph and Maria Duffy and her godmother Dorothy Duffy.
Dorann was born on February 17, 1974, in Bronxville, New York, and was raised in Mahopac, New York.
With her family deeply involved in the town's sports programs, Dorann excelled as a goalie in field hockey and a defender in soccer, earning respect for her talent and fearless heart. Dorann graduated from Mahopac High School in 1992, remembered by classmates as a friendly face in the hallway, always ready with a smile, a laugh, or a helping hand.
After high school, Dorann pursued a career in healthcare, studying radiology and beginning her work as an X-ray technician at Danbury Hospital, where she touched many lives through her care and dedication.
Above all, Dorann was a loving mother to her three children - Emily, Tyler, and Hailey Woods. Her children were her greatest joy.
Dorann was known for her sense of humor, big heart, and genuine warmth. Whether she was singing to her favorite songs, cheering for the New York Giants, relaxing with her beloved dogs, Coco and Princess, or spending time near the ocean she loved so much, Dorann's spirit was one of joy, kindness, and laughter.
She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and lovingly remembered.
All are welcome to attend her Memorial Funeral Mass on Tuesday, April 8th at 10AM at St. John The Evangelist Church in Mahopac.
