Carol A. Posey Anderson, 71, of Newport, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on July 22, 1954, she was the beloved daughter of Paul J. and Bessie L. Posey. A proud 1973 graduate of Newport High School, Carol was known throughout her life as a strong-willed, independent woman whose generous heart touched countless lives. She was the kind of person who would drop everything to help someone in need-whether day or night-and she carried that spirit of compassion with her always. Carol's greatest joy was her family. She adored her children and cherished her role as a grandmother, finding endless happiness in the laughter and love of her grandchildren. She treasured time spent with family and friends, and her quick wit and infectious laughter made every gathering brighter. In her younger years, Carol especially enjoyed playing cards, where her sharp mind and playful spirit often made her a formidable opponent. She is survived by her children, Ryan J. Lloyd and Tori L. Anderson; her brother Wayne Posey (Darlene); nephews Wayne Posey II, Derek (Amanda) Posey, Paul Seymour, Branden Smith, Carmine Trezza III, and Anthony Trezza; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many great-nieces and great-nephews who will carry her memory forward. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Bessie Posey; her stepmother, Emogene Posey; her sisters, Brenda Smaga and Cathy Trezza; and her grandparents, Mae and Jim Maxwell. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 2:00 P.M. until the Memorial Service at 3:00 P.M. at Serenity Funeral Care, 40 West 6th Street, Covington, KY 41011. Carol's legacy is one of love, resilience, and generosity. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be profoundly missed. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
