It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Power of Onset, Massachusetts. Carol was born, raised and educated in Roslindale and was proud to be a Rossie girl. On March 27, 2025, Carol went to be in Heaven with our Lord and the Angels.

A cherished sister, aunt, and friend, Carol was a gentle soul who loved all and in return was loved by all. Carol was born on Patriot's Day, April 19, 1937. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Mary and John Power, and her sisters Patricia McCarthy (George) and Barbara VanMeter (Norman).

Carol worked at New England Tel & Tel for several years before moving to Colorado to work as a Nanny for a family whose mother had succumbed to cancer. Carol returned to her beautiful Onset Beach and for the next twenty-five years worked as a Ward Secretary at Tobey Hospital spreading her love and kindness to patients and staff alike.

Carol was happiest when she was able to make someone else happy. She enjoyed swimming and chatting with friends at Onset Beach, but she especially loved to play cards in the summer at the ladies' weekly poker games. Winning wasn't important to Carol. She enjoyed the camaraderie, laughter, and being with good friends. She always felt guilty when she won, but just when you thought you were winning, Carol would swoop in to "steal" the pot.

Carol is survived by her sister Marilyn Ricci (Al) and her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews whom she so dearly loved.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Carol's Life Celebration on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 4th, 2025 in the Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole, at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Carol's name may be made to The Onset Bay Association at P.O. Box 799, Onset, MA 02558 or by visiting https://www.onsetbay.org/Donate
