Carol Ann (Trask) Skurski
March 13, 1944 - February 5, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Ann (Trask) Skurski, who peacefully passed away on February 5, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on March 13, 1944, Carol was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, warmth, and an unwavering love for her family.
Carol was the devoted wife of Edward Skurski, with whom she shared 35 wonderful years of marriage. Carol was a 1962 graduate of Beverly High School, and a lifelong resident of Beverly before her and Ed moved to Marco Island, FL., where they embraced the beauty of island living and built a warm, welcoming home. Carol also enjoyed the beach, boating, and family get-togethers at their condo on Lake Winnipesaukee. She also enjoyed the lively atmosphere of a casino. Carol had an infectious smile and her life was marked by generosity, kindness, and dedication to those she held dear. Carol was employed by Delta Electronics and Premier Leathers before starting her own business, CAS Bookkeeping, with her daughters, a venture that showcased her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to family. Her strength and compassion made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Edward Skurski; her three devoted daughters, Betsy Woods and her husband Jack of
Beverly, MA; Laurie Karas and her husband Chuck of Kingston, NH; and Amy Kearney and her husband Phil of Danville, NH; and her two stepdaughters, Wendy Fernandes and her husband Stephen, and Katie Skurski. She also leaves behind her dear sisters, Ginsey Locke and Joanne Quill and her husband Phil, as well as her brothers-in-law Jack Coletti, Bruce Atherton, Jim Skurski, and her sister-in-law Trudy Skurski. Carol was a proud and loving grandmother to her five grandchildren: Matt Karas and his wife Kaylee; Corinne Melanson and her husband Erick; Nicole Woods and her fiancé Andrew Weisbach; Allie Kearney and her fiancé Rob Cormier; and Molly Karas. She was also a cherished Grandmother to her step-grandchildren: Melissa Cavallaro, Andy Kearney, Danielle Benson, Michael Woods, James and Michael Napoli, William, Christian, Matthew, and Ryan Lubanski, Alex and Avery Fernandes; and is additionally remembered by her great-grandchildren: Kenzie and Cooper Karas; Scarlett and Wyatt Cormier; and AJ Melanson. Carol was predeceased by her parents, William and Muriel Trask of
Beverly, MA; her sisters, Linda Atherton and Sherry Coletti; her stepchildren, Edward Skurski, III and Victoria Napoli, and her step-grandson John Woods.
A celebration of Carol's life will be held at Campbells Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street,
Beverly, MA on Tuesday, February 11th at 11AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visting hours are the same day, prior to the service from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment at North Beverly Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Carol's memory to
