82 year old, Carol J. Wireman, of Wheatfield, passed away on March 18, 2025, at her home with her loving family around her.

On October 2, 1942, Carol was born to Gerret and Lois (Goetz) Bovenkerk, in Rensselaer, Indiana. She was a graduate of Wheatfield High School, class of 1960. Carol married James ‘Junior’ Wireman Jr, on June 10, 1961, in Jasper County, Indiana. She worked at Pruitt’s Blueberry Farm, and spent 11 years working at the Jasper-Pulaski Tree Nursery. Carol was an avid reader, enjoyed cross word puzzles, sewing, cooking, canning, and gardening. She was a collector of bells and had some from different areas of the world. Carol was a member of the United Baptist Church of Bailey Corner.

Carol is survived by her children: Randy (Wendi Arnett) Wireman, Sharon (Keith) Williams, Pollie (Victor) Navakas, Julie Gooden, Sonya (Kevin) Hesson, Greg (Cindy) Wireman, 16 grandchildren, 16.5 great-grandchildren, her brother: Warren (Arvella) Bovenkerk, many Goetz cousins, some Bovenkerk cousins, many nieces and nephews, and her cat: Tillie.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, husband: James ‘Junior’ Wireman Jr, and daughter in law: Jackie Wireman.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 until 12:00 p.m. (CST) on Friday, March 21, 2025, at the United Baptist Church of Bailey Corner, 2483 E. 400 N., Rensselaer, IN 47978. Services for Carol will be at 12:00 p.m. (CST) on Friday, March 21, 2025 at the United Baptist Church of Bailey Corner with Bishop Rick Helton officiating. Interment will follow at the Wheatfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
