Carol R. Zook, 78, of Mifflintown (Licking Creek), passed away at 3:34 am on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital. Born on March 29, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Jean (Rowles) Wileman and William E. Wileman. On December 7, 1972, she married her husband, Steven L. Zook, with whom she was blessed to share over 49 years of marriage before his passing in 2022. She is survived by her children, Christine Wolfgang and her husband Donnie of Richfield, Stephanie Dalton and her husband Fred of Port Royal, Rocky Lane and his wife Pam of Mount Union, Robin Gearhart of Mt. Union; five sisters, ten grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one step- daughter, Jackie Zook and a brother, Larry Wileman, Sr. In earlier life, she was employed at Juniata Garments and Empire Kosher. Carol was a member of the American Legion in Mifflintown. She enjoyed playing cards, scratching off lottery tickets, and spending time with her Aunt Yvonne Murphy. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 26th at 2:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge Street, Mifflintown, with the Rev. Judy Rowles officiating. Interment will follow at St. Stephens Lutheran Cemetery, Mifflintown. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge Street, Mifflintown.
