Obituary of Carolee Kae Pratt
Carolee Kae Pratt passed away at the age of 79 on Monday, April 24, 2023, in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, after a long and full life. She was born on January 30, 1944 in Florence, South Carolina, where her parents were stationed in the military. She was raised in Lubbock, Texas, and studied to be an x-ray technician.
Kae was a skilled artist with many creative talents. Her interests included gardening, crocheting and crafts, painting, cooking, and playing cards and board games with family and friends. She explored the world with her family, living in Scotland, Great Britain, and Bahrain in the Middle East. They traveled extensively across the Mediterranean, Europe, and the African coast. She later settled in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, where she volunteered with the Marines of Lake Ozark and enjoyed life on the water in the beautiful lakeside community.
Kae is survived by her children, Toya Phillips, Desira Rayburn, and Dan Pratt, all in Houston; grandchildren Chance and Rebecca Phillips of Lake of the Ozarks and Chase and Jodi Phillips of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; and Colton and Violet Pratt of Houston, as well as five great-grandchildren.
Her ashes will be spread in her beloved state of Missouri in a private event.
