Caroline Lucille SanSota, 81, passed away Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was a retired secretary for MSD, having worked 23 ½ years, a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and a friend to all who knew her. Caroline was one of seven siblings who would tell it like it is whether you liked it or not. She cherished her favorite grey and white shawl and wore it every day, and had an eclectic range of interests, including true crime TV shows, the "First 48" being her favorite; cooking, the cheese dumplings and steak and gravy were a family favorite; and loved her neighbors whom she had a close relationship with. Preceding her in death is her loving husband, Victor E. SanSota; parents, David and Mamie Wirth, siblings, David Wirth, Richard Wirth, Frances (Wirth) Stowers, Terry Wirth, Marian (Wirth) Bryant. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Rob Gividen (Karen), Brian Gividen (Sherri), Victoria Ash (Gabe), Theresa Grismer (Travis); step-children, Cindy Johnston, and Vic SanSota III; grandchildren, Lauren Gividen (Chris), Robert Gividen, Russell Gividen, Candice Lacey (Jaron), Erica Gividen (Jayke), Rachael Gividen, Abigail Gibson (Austin), Abigail Ash, and Rosalind Ash; sister, Elenora "Norie" Grissom (George); and a host of nieces and nephews. A celebration of life memorial service will be 7 p.m. Friday, June 6th at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son Funeral Home, 7336 Southside Dr. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of service, Friday, at Rattermans.
