Carolyn Adele Craig, 77, of Marion, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM, surrounded by her loving family.

Born August 16, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, Carolyn was the daughter of William and Paula (Parenti) Bell. She graduated from Portage High School, Class of 1966, and later retired from General Dynamics after a dedicated career.

Carolyn married Frankie Joe Craig in Portage, Indiana. Together, they celebrated 54 years of marriage this year. He survives in Marion.

Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Her family was the center of her world—through every joy and every hardship, they were her constant. She was the kind of person who made you feel heard, loved, and understood. She shared daily conversations filled with laughter, dreams, memories, and reflections on the world. She was not just a sister—she was a confidante, a best friend, and a steady presence. Her absence leaves a deep and aching space in the hearts of those who loved her.

She now rests in peace, reunited with her daughter Rhonda, granddaughter Laura, her brother William, her mother Paula, and other beloved family members who went before her. We take comfort in knowing she is free from pain and surrounded by love.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Frankie Joe Craig of Marion; daughter, Rana Jones of Marion; stepson, Frankie Joe Craig II of Hobart, Indiana; and sister, Susan (Bell) Ritter of North Carolina. She was a proud grandmother to Billy, Jacob, Sadie, Kayla, and Desiree, and a great-grandmother to five. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends—including Ron Phelps—and former coworkers who will miss her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William Bell; daughter, Rhonda Smith; granddaughter, Laura Hughes; and brother-in-law, Gary Ritter.
