Obituary of Carolyn Berry Davis
Carolyn Berry Davis, went to be with the Lord on January 19, 2024 at her residence after an extended illness.
Carolyn was born January 29,1939 to George W. Berry and LaVona Scalfe Berry of Scott County Virginia.
Carolyn graduated from Rye cove High School. She married Carl Kenneth Davis and they were together 60 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother always putting her family first. (Especially her grandchildren).
She had a good sense of humor and could keep you laughing and smiling when things were down. She always thought about others and the service of her community, she frequented the local nursing homes as a volunteer for many years. She will be missed by everyone.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Kenneth Davis; her parents, George W. Berry and Lavona Scalf Berry; and her brothers; James Berry and George Berry, Jr.
Carolyn is survived by her sisters, Betty Berry Gibson, Mary Nell Berry Epps and husband Gene Eppes; daughter, Lori Elaine Davis; grandchildren, Hunter Rouse with children Layla and Maison, Haley Rouse and Travis Emmett with children Ryder and Wilder, and Gabe Hagood; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Patsey Bostic; special nephews and their wives, Allen and Karen Gibson and Phillip and Alice Gibson. (She adored all of you).
The family would like to thank the Fairview Community Center, Kaylors Chapel Church, and Scott Co. Rescue.
Arrangements will be announced at a later date.
Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home, Weber City, VA is serving the Davis family.
