Carolyn Rebecca Hill, age 68, of Tazewell, Virginia, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Tazewell, Virginia following an extended illness.
She was born in Tazewell County, Virginia on July 18, 1956 and was the daughter of the late Raymond Cecil Wyatt and Gladys Audrey Boardwine Wyatt.
She had made her home in the area all of her life and was a former Electrocardiogram Tech at the Mattie Williams Hospital in Richlands, Virginia. She was a Richlands High School Class of 1974 graduate. She was of the Pentacostal faith. She was a gifted musician and enjoyed playing the piano and organ; and she loved to sing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Jackie E. Hill; and a sister, Patsy Journell.
Those left to cherish her memory are:
Sister: Betty Arlene Vandyke of Vansant, Virginia
Brothers: Stanley Wayne Wyatt of Warren, Michigan and Jimmy Dean Wyatt of Lebanon, Virginia
Several nieces and nieces and a host friends also survive.
Funeral services for Carolyn Rebecca Hill will be conducted Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 2pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Mike Rife officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Friends may visit with the family from 1pm until 2pm on Tuesday prior to the funeral at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia.
