Carolyn S. (Sturgill) Hoopingarner, 65, of Shoals, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025.
Born August 17, 1959, in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was the daughter of Orville and Hattie (Brock) Sturgill.
Carolyn married Terry Hoopingarner on June 23, 1975, and he survives.
She enjoyed fishing, playing Bingo, and going to the casino.
Carolyn was a homemaker and was the office manager for Hoop’s Roofing.
Surviving are her mother, Hattie Sturgill; husband, Terry and his son, Nathan (Candi) Duncan; children, Tammy (Todd) Campbell and Aimme (Frankie) Couch; grandchildren, Mercedes and Mackenzie McGinley; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Donna Childress, Aaron Sturgill, and Shirley Bowling; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Orville Sturgill and one brother, Thomas Sturgill.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care in Shoals. Burial will be in Anderson Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the service hour on Tuesday at the Queen-Lee Chapel, Shoals.
