Carolyn Jackson Obituary
Carolyn R. Jackson, 87, of Forest, Virginia, passed away on November 28, 2024. Born on July 16, 1937, to the late William H. and Rosa L. Johnson, Carolyn was a devoted mother and cherished member of her community.
She found immense joy in playing the autoharp and treasured moments spent with family and friends. Her greatest fulfillment came from serving her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Carolyn is survived by her children: Linda, Thomas, William (Rodney), Stephen, and surrogate son William; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings Adele and Carlton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her children Matilda, and Paul, siblings Evelyn, Rosa, William and George. She also leaves behind a host of friends she considered family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Faith Redemption Fellowship, located at 1955 Blackwater Rd., Forest, VA 24551.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Faith Redemption Fellowship Church.
Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
