Carolyn Saccomano died peacefully on October 3, 2025. She was 88.

A lifelong Bay Area resident, Carolyn was born on October 16, 1936 in Berkeley, California and grew up in and around the Rockridge neighborhood of Oakland. She graduated from Oakland Technical High School, and went on to raise her family in Vallejo before retiring to Benicia.

She is survived by her children, Mark Saccomano and Cheryl Gareau (David), and her grandchildren, Lauren Hessler (Craig), Christopher Gareau (Maria Borromeo), and Michael Gareau. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Richard E. Saccomano.

She enjoyed painting and needlepoint, and traveling throughout the US to visit friends and family.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Hope Hospice in San Ramon for their special care.
