Carolyn A. Suess, 73, Brussels, WI, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 with her
family by her side after a short courageous battle with cancer. Carolyn was born on April 6,
1949 in Albany, CA and was the daughter of Donald and Wilda (Acosta) Koepp. Carolyn was a
graduate of Sevastopol High School. On January 18, 1969 she married Kenneth Suess, Sr. at St.
Joseph's Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay, WI. Carolyn's career in advertising and sales
provided her opportunities to work at Door County Chamber of Commerce, the Door County
Advocate and Sailing Magazine. More recently she was co-owner of DC Automotive Towing in
Sturgeon Bay. Carolyn loved the water and never missed an opportunity to spend time on a boat.
She had a passion for Corvettes and loved being known as a Corvette Family. Carolyn was a
master in the kitchen and fondly known for her skills and her wonderful recipes. She loved
Christmas and had a knack for decorating her home in such a beautiful and festive manner and
always believed there was never such a thing, as too many Christmas trees. Carolyn was a
loving wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, daughter, sister and a friend to many and will
always be lovingly remembered and sorrowfully missed. She had a heart of gold and enjoyed
spending time with her family and never missed an opportunity to make memories with her
grandkids, especially Dylan.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband: Ken, two sons: Ken Suess, Jr., Sturgeon Bay, Cregg
Suess, Sheboygan, one daughter: Kellie (Larry) Schwab, Port Washington, 7 grandchildren, 3
great-grandchildren, her mother: Wilda Koepp, 3 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law: Donna Koepp,
Ann (Floyd) Hewitt, Jan (Dennis) Mills. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father: Donald Koepp.
In accordance with Carolyn's wishes, a private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to offer a warm note of appreciation to the family and friends who have
been there loving and supporting Carolyn and the family.
