Carolyn Willson Obituary
August 11, 1934 - November 26, 2025
Atwater, California - Carolyn S. Willson, "Sally", passed away November 26, 2025, at the age of 91. Sally grew up in Merced, attending Merced High as well as San Jose State. After school she married Jack R. Willson, "Dick" in 1955. Sally and Dick were stationed in England for three years. Upon returning Sally and Dick lived in Atwater for 63 years. Sally was a school librarian in Atwater serving many students sharing her love of literature. She held a deep commitment to family, people and gardening. Sally's joyful spirit could always light up a room. She is preceded in death by Dick her husband of 68 years. She is survived by her son John R. Willson, daughter Kathryn A. Enos and son James Michael Willson; her sisters Joan C. Jarrett and Sandra Monier; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The family will have a private gathering at a later date per Sally's request.

I had the wonderful fortune to have worked at Mitchell K6 alongside Sally. What a kind, compassionate and loving heart she was. Richard and I also enjoyed working with she and Dick at Rotary. She was always serving from the heart. She will be missed for sure. Our most sincere condolences to her family. Rich and Debbie Hawthorne.

Such a very lovely person and much loved at Mitchell K-6 Elementary School. She always had a kind word and sweet smile for everyone. The world is a better place because of her.

Sally was such a wonderful person. I have such fond memories of her and Dick. My wife and I had such a great visit with her in October when we were there for my 50th reunion. So glad we took the time to visit with her. Something I will never forget. So sorry for the families loss. Thinking of you all. Love, Randy and Susie Smith
