Casey tragically left this mortal world on Monday, November 18, 2024, at 12:34PM. Casey lived all over the beautiful central coast of California since late 2012 and before that he lived in Colorado and Utah.

Casey grew up in Springville, Utah. Casey was the son of Rex and Jane (Jasperson) Carlson. Casey was one of five children. Casey loved athletics and played football, basketball, baseball and football golf — he loved, LOVED playing golf, especially at Hobble Creek Golf Course.

In the early 1990s, Casey met Tara Lee eventually marrying then having one son, CJ. CJ was the apple of their eyes. Casey was Tara’s best friend and soulmate. When Casey and Tara moved to California, CJ didn’t want to come, which was a hard pill to swallow. When CJ did visit California, Casey always had such a great time with his son. Casey adored CJ.

Casey excelled at academics. He graduated from Utah Valley, Weber State, University of Utah (Go Utes!!) and Western Governors with two (2) associate, bachelor, and masters degrees.

Casey thrived in his professional capacity for over 30 years in the healthcare industry — employed at IHC to Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford to Dignity Health/Common Spirits where he was loved and respected by so many.

People that Casey met on his earthly journey loved and appreciated his kindness, motivation, unconditionalness, and lovely disposition.

Survived by his spouse, Tara (34 years together); CJ (Kailey) and grandchild, Aiden, of Spanish Fork, Utah; Rex and Jane Carlson of Springville, Utah; Shauna Carlson; Tyler (Krystal) Carlson; Tiffani (Dan) Carlson; Christopher (Jennifer) Carlson — all of Springville, Utah, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and uncles.

Casey is also survived by his in-laws George and Elaine Lee of Fairview, Utah; Todd (Sarah) Lee of Fairview, Utah; Craig (Kevin) Lee of Farmington, Utah; Lisa (Robert) Avei of Orem, Utah; Jason (Lisa) Lee of Logan, Utah; Autumn (Jake) Ferguson of Lehi, Utah; Gabe (Carrie) Lee of Saratoga Springs, Utah; Tyler (Ashlee) Lee of Fairview, Utah with dozens of extended family.

We absolutely loved Casey—he was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, son-in-law, best friend, the love of Tara’s life, good sport, Tara’s confidant, and magnificent listener.

We will miss Casey dearly.
