Catherine "Casey" Jennie Interrante, age 75, of Norristown, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon, April 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving husband and two daughters.
Casey was born on April 7, 1950 to the late Joseph and Jennie (DiCiurcio) Caruso in Philadelphia, PA. She was a 1968 graduate of Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School in Drexel Hill, PA and obtained her bachelor's and master's degrees from West Chester University. Casey was a dedicated middle school English teacher in the Great Valley School District for over 35 years where she was instrumental in the development of their outdoor education program, served as yearbook advisor, and touched the lives of innumerable students through her love of reading and literature. After her retirement, Casey continued to give back to the community with her volunteer work for Great Valley School District (notably for her time as a "veggie lady"), North Penn School District, and the Center for Loss and Bereavement, located in Skippack, PA. Casey was an actively devoted member of Saint Helena Catholic Church in Blue Bell, PA where she sang in the choir and served as a Eucharistic minister. Her many friends will attest that Casey rarely met a stranger; she had friendships that spanned decades and others that were brand new. She found a particularly close-knit group over the years she lived at Stony Creek Farms.
Casey is survived and dearly missed by her loving husband of 13 years, John Interrante, two daughters, Beth LoGiudice (Ove Valseth) and Rebecca (LoGiudice) Corradetti (Geno), four grandchildren, Ingrid, Luke, Alexandra, and Cameron, and numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Joanne Harnitchek and her devoted canine companion, Oliver.
Casey was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God, and her passing has left a void in the hearts of family, friends, students, and many others who were touched by her kindness and generosity.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, and employees at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, PA who worked tirelessly to provide her with the best care possible. A Celebration of Life is being planned at a future date and we ask that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Casey's name to the Center for Loss and Bereavement (https://bereavementcenter.networkforgood.com/projects/200469-general-donations-online), the Brandywine Valley SPCA (https://bvspca.org/donate/donation-form), or City of Elderly Love, an animal rescue dedicated to keeping Philadelphia-area senior animals in loving homes (https://www.cityofelderlylove.org/donate).

Dear John, Beth, and Rebecca,
Please know Casey was a light within our Women at the Well monthly gathering at St. Ann Church. We stayed connected after our group stopped formally meeting, and we were always happy to see her smiling face at our occasional luncheons.
Casey and I often found times to get together on a one-to-one, and we stayed in touch via email or text until the past couple of months.
John, I know how much she loved you and how wonderful you were to her. I also know how much she loved her daughters and her grandchildren.
Our Women at the Well group joins you in mourning her loss.

I am so very sad to hear of Casey´s passing. She was such a a lovely woman who treasured her family and loved teaching her middle school students. She put so much heart into everything she did. She had the best smile and laugh that brought a smile to many of us. She will be missed and always treasured .
