Cathy Sloan Obituary

Born March 18, 1960 in Natrona Heights, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. & Margaret (McCutcheon) Kestner.
Cathy was a 1978 graduate of Kiski Area High School. She worked as a missionary for the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Pennsylvania, Inc. and also served as the local Director for their Armstrong, Indiana, and Westmoreland counties chapter.
Cathy was a member of the North Apollo Church of God. She enjoyed baking and spending time with her grandchildren. Most importantly she enjoyed sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with children everywhere.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Chris Kestner.
Cathy is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jeffrey L. Sloan of Washington Township; her daughters, Ruth (Will) Joback of Pittsburgh, Kimberly Sloan of Washington Township, and Shannon (Aaron) Crider of Washington Township; her son, Ben (Kara) Sloan of Carnegie; brother, Curt Kestner of Spring Church; her sister-in-law, Cheryl Kestner of Taylors, SC; four grandchildren, Roran, Winry, & Roxas Crider and Waylon Sloan; and her nieces and nephews, Chris Sloan, Brian Sloan, Colleen Marsh, Courtney Kestner, and Caleb Kestner.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the North Apollo Church of God, 507 20th Street, North Apollo, PA 15673.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Cathy's name to the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Pennsylvania, Inc., P.O. Box 54, Leechburg, PA 15656.
