Cecelia Wedge

Cecelia M. (McLaughlin) Wedge, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 19th, 2025, at her home in Plymouth, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 61 years old. Cecelia was the devoted wife of John K. Wedge, with whom she shared a lifelong love story that began when they were just five years old.
Born on November 19, 1963, in Brockton, Massachusetts, Cecelia was the cherished daughter of the late Leo J. and Kathleen T. (Allman) McLaughlin. She was educated in the Brockton schools and proudly graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School in 1981. It was in Brockton that she met John, and together they built a beautiful family filled with love and laughter.
Cecelia and John raised three wonderful children: Danielle Draheim and her husband Daniel of Wareham, Thomas K. Wedge and his wife Mercedes of East Freetown, and Matthew R. Wedge of Plymouth. She was a proud grandmother to Logan Draheim and Braley Wedge, who brought her immense joy and happiness. Cecelia is also survived by her siblings: John McLaughlin of West Bridgewater, Paul McLaughlin of Florida, Teresa Randall of Maine, Margaret McGee of Rochester, Bernadette Andrea of Bridgewater, Christine Goddard of Rochester, Angela McHugh of Easton, Monica Atkins of San Antonio, Texas, Melanie Edson of Bridgewater, Timothy McLaughlin of Carver, Blaise McLaughlin of North Carolina, and the late Kevin McLaughlin. She leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Cecelia was an active member of the Lifehouse Church in Middleboro, where she found community and purpose. A passionate Boston Bruins fan, she enjoyed cheering for her team, dancing, singing, and celebrating holidays with her family. Her greatest joy came from the time spent with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Professionally, Cecelia served as the store manager for Bradford Liquor Store in Plymouth, where her warm spirit and dedication were felt by all who knew her.
Visiting hours will be held at the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 619 State Rd., Plymouth (Manomet) on Friday, June 27th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, June 28th, at 11:00 AM at the Lifehouse Church, 17 Jericho Road, Middleboro. Burial will follow at Vine Hills Cemetery in Plymouth.

Cecelia's warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will be deeply missed but forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
