Cecil Hager

CECIL C. HAGER, Sr., age 90, of Piqua, OH passed away on Saturday February 15, 2025. He was born in Richlands, VA on June 11, 1934, to the late John and Nana (Dills) Hager. On March 7, 1954 in Piqua, OH he married Juanita Grosvenor and she survives. Cecil is also survived by two daughters: Rosita Campbell, Piqua, OH; Heather (Ray) Frederick, Piqua, OH; one son: Cecil C. (Melanie) Hager, Jr., Glendale, AZ; one brother; Joe (Barb) Hager, Piqua, OH; one sister: Herta Price, Piqua, OH; and one sister in law Dee Hager, Murietta, CA; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren. Cecil was preceded in death by three brothers: John Hager, James Hager and Don Hager and one son in law Doug Campbell. Cecil was a member of the Piqua Salvation Army. He worked at Miami Industries for 37 years in the heat treat annealing department. He drove a taxi for Piqua. Cecil, along with his wife Juanita, own Staunton Street Storage and owned and operated Hager Tree Service for many years. Funeral services for Cecil will be held at 1PM on Thursday - February 20th, 2025, at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home. Burial to immediately follow at Miami Memorial Gardens in Covington, OH. The family will receive friends from 12PM-1PM on Thursday - February 20th, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Cecil's name to the Piqua Salvation Army at 129 S.
