Cecil Alexander Watson, 72, of Williamsport passed away on December 1, 2024. He also had a residence in Deep Gap, North Carolina.
He was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan on August 22, 1952, a son to the late Roser Blake Watson and Lillian Louise (Lockhart) Watson of Deep Gap, NC.
Cecil proudly served his country during the Vietnam War, from 1970 to 1972 in the Army special forces.
Cecil had been with his loving partner, Susan E. Estes, originally from Flushing, NY for 19 years and they lived in Williamsport, PA.
In addition to his loving partner Susan, he is survived by his three sisters, Janet Watson Trivelle and Linda Watson both of Deep Gap, NC, and Mary Hodges of Wilkesboro, NC. He is preceded in death by his two sons, Blake (B.C.) Watson of Lenoir, NC and Steven Smith of Bath, NY. He also was the proud grandfather of James Watson and Kimberly Watson both of Hudson, NC and Samantha Smith Browning of Shelby, NC. Cecil was a proud great-grandfather of Isaac and Baylee Browning of Shelby, NC and he leaves many nieces and nephews.
There are no services planned at this time.
The family respectfully suggests memorial donations be made to the funeral home to help defray final arrangement expenses.
