On Sunday, November 24, 2024, our Lord and Savior called home our sweet Mom, Cecilia Christine Schiesser, age 75 of Lawrenceville and welcomed her with open arms to be with Him in everlasting life.
Cecilia was born on July 19, 1949 in Fort Monroe, Virginia to the late Harvey Lanois and the late Lauretta Trembley Lanois. The youngest of nine kids, she was born into a military family as her dad served in the Army in World War II and was a cook in the Army in Korea. As an Army kid she lived several different places, including living and going to school in Germany for some of her early years. She later moved to Georgia and met and later married Frederick George Schiesser on August 30, 1969 and they had and raised 5 sons together. Primarily she was a homemaker but also worked at St. Patrick's in Norcross and later as a Teacher's Assistant at Beaver Ridge Elementary in Lilburn. She was always there for her husband and sons. Even being the primary caretaker of her youngest son, Adam Schiesser, for 14 years before he passed. She was selfless and gave everything she had to provide her love and support to and for her family.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frederick George Schiesser, her sons, Adam Christopher Schiesser and John Paul Schiesser, her brothers, Raymond, Thomas and Donald Lanois and her sisters, Frances Lorenz, Theresa Larabee, Jeannean Stanley and Ethel Malone.
Survivors include her loving sons and daughter-in-law, Brian and Kristy Schiesser of Covington, Keith Schiesser and Tim Schiesser both of Lawrenceville, granddaughter, Anna-Beth Schiesser, grandson, Sam Winchesterr, sister and brother-in-law, Jerry and Marie Olson of Ohio, as well as a whole bunch of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 5th from 5:00-6:00 PM with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 PM at Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel.
A Funeral Mass will be said on Friday, December 6th at 11:00 AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 801 Tom Smith Rd SW, Lilburn, GA 30047.
