Chad Tyler Buttram, 43, of Fishers, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at his home. He was born on August 4, 1981 in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Chad was known for his love of life, love of space, passion for food and his ability to make anyone laugh. Having worked in many fields, from sales (he could sell you anything), to mortgages, Chad found his passion in becoming a chef at Glen Kernan Golf & Country Club. With his move to Indiana, Chad’s passion for food was not left behind. He was the owner/operator of a local eatery, Knife & Board Artisan Eats. Recently, he changed careers and created Indy Real Estate Photography, but that never stopped him from continuing to explore his culinary passions at home and preparing the most wonderful family meals. Chad was a great teacher and loved to show anyone who wanted to learn!
When not taking beautiful pictures of homes or prepping for an upcoming meal, Chad enjoyed playing tennis and golf with his wife Amber and son Dylan, providing tips to get better along the way. Chad loved family vacations, playing games, and taking walks with his family and four pups. Fun fact, Chad LOVED thought provoking conversation about space and beyond. Chad was the best confidant and the person you turned to whenever you needed a friend, he will be truly missed.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 23 years, Amber Dee Buttram; son, Dylan Buttram; mother, Susan (Thomas) Wyatt; father, Gary Joe Buttram; grandmother, Virginia Buttram; brother, Jason (Laura) Buttram; nieces and nephews, Noah, Savannah, and Emma Buttram; half sister; Amber (Charlie) Pape; nephew Mason & niece Olivia; half sister, Hollilyn (Zack) Chapmon; nephew Kylo; mother-in-law, Karen Thomas; father-in-law, Charles Hayden; brother-in-law, Robert Hayden; sister-in-law, Lara Hayden; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Chad was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bill Buttram and Richard Allison; grandmother, Margaret Allison; and grandparents-in-law, Robert and Jane Thomas.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in both Indiana and Virginia. The Buttram Family has entrusted Randall & Roberts Funeral Home with Chad's care.
