Chad J. Martin, 48, of Greenbackville, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024, in TidalHealth – Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
Born March 17, 1976, in Newport News, VA, he was the son of Stanley Martin of Farragut, TN and Sandra (Schmedeke) Evans and her partner, Randy Perro, Sr., of Greenbackville.
Chad graduated from Pocomoke High School, class of 1994 and attended Wor-Wic Community College. He was employed as a foreman by Beauchamp Construction of Pocomoke.
Chad was a member of the Greenbackville Fire Company and loved working on his trucks. He enjoyed woodworking and carpentry and always rooted for his Florida Gators and Seattle Seahawks.
Survivors in addition to his parent include his wife, Billie Jean (East) Martin of Pocomoke; six children, Alexis Martin and her partner, Joby Landry, of Cameron, LA, Bryanah Martin of Welsh, LA, Alyssa Martin of Welsh, LA, Briley Martin of Welsh, LA, Kaleb McLean of Greenbackville and Kody McLean and his partner, Raven Raley, of Greenbackville; three grandchildren, John Ryan Landry, Lyla McLean and Saylor Landry; two brothers, Greg Jones and his wife, Michelle, of Gallatin, TN and Brooks Martin and his wife Sara of Knoxville, TN; a sister, Lori Martin of Knoxville, TN; and nieces nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 20 in the Pocomoke Community Center, 1410 Market Street, Pocomoke City, 21851.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Wounded Warrior Project via the "Donate" tab on their website, www.woundedwarriorproject.org or to Infinite Legacy 1730 Twin Springs Road, Suite 200, Henlopen, MD 21227 or via the "Support" button at the bottom of their website, infinitelegacy.org.
