Chandler Stone Bullard, 46, of Dover, New Hampshire, passed away on February 19, 2024.
He was born in Hanover, New Hampshire, on April 3, 1977, to Ashton Bullard and Janet (O'Driscoll) Morton. Chandler grew up in Durham, New Hampshire, and attended Oyster River schools and Saint Thomas Aquinas High School. He went on to graduate from Gulliver Prep in Miami, Florida, and attended George Washington University, where he focused on marketing and political science and was a brother of the Kappa Sigma fraternity.
In his professional life, Chandler was dedicated to serving others. He was a camp director for Easterseals in Virginia and San Diego, where he mentored and championed young people with physical and cognitive challenges. At Northeast Passage in New Hampshire, he was a school outreach director and coach of the quad rugby team.
A freemason and fervent scholar of government and American history, Chandler had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. He loved his country and explored it frequently in his 40- foot motor home "Belle." He had an unrivaled presence, and wherever he went complete strangers would perk up and engage when he shared his sharp wit and ribald humor. Chandler was a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox and loved bringing friends to Fenway Park for the first time.
Chandler was preceded in death by his father, Ashton Bullard. He is survived by his mother, Janet Morton (Matt), of Newington, New Hampshire, his sister, Julanne Bullard (Jay), of Strafford, New Hampshire, his brother, Colton Bullard, of Everett, Washington, and countless friends around the globe whose lives he touched.
A celebration of life is planned for summer 2024 in the seacoast region of New Hampshire. Donations to Easterseals and Northeast Passage in Chandler's name would be greatly appreciated.

Such fond memories of Chandler´s humor and wit. I was so glad he was a friend of my brothers because he was such a funny and genuine guy. My condolences to his family.

It's been years since I've seen Chandler, the last time we spoke was shortly after ash passed... It's been a long time, life takes us in different directions.... Just got word of his passing from another high school friend in Miami. Gone too soon. I still think of him whenever I hear a Jewel song! We'd gone to a concert in some small club on Miami Beach. Duncan Sheik opened up, but Jewel was the main draw. Allegedly Chandler dated her for a couple of weeks after, so the legend goes! Super great guy and a loss for anyone who ever had him come into their lives.

The first time I saw Chandler was my first time in America, my first time at a summer camp. Walking into the noisy dining hall I saw handsome face at the back of the room. That summer it was apparent, adults and children were simply drawn to him. I've been thinking about why that was. Perhaps his natural leadership combined with selflessness, and his thoughtfulness combined with exuberance. The times then are known by many now as "the best summer ever!", and truly changed people across the world. Chandler was a big part of that. It is no surprise at all to know that he continued to engage and serve in his career. To this day, one of my happiest memories was an early morning journey back from DC after a wild weekend with those guys. Driving through the beautiful misty country roads of Virginia, David Gray playing on cd. Tired and happy, with Chandler by my side.

I met Chandler at Camp Easter Seals-East in 1999 as a camper. We instantly bonded, sharing countless hours of laughter. He was the type of guy that everybody wanted to be around. Spending time with him was special. Put us in a room together and there'd be trouble. Like the time I got out of my scooter and into his wheelchair, which was foreign territory. And guess what happened. I proceeded to flip over backward. We were the only people laughing in the room. We laughed hard. He looked at me and said, "I told ya." Fast forward a couple of years and I'm a staff member. I followed his lead. Because I saw him succeed in the role, I knew I could too. Without him, I never would've considered the possibility. That summer I grew so much and found out I could do so much independently. Some time ago, we reconnected. I told him that and he was proud. For all of us who knew him, his light will remain a constant source of inspiration.

So sorry to hear of Chandlers passing. I spoke to Chandlers high school class about what his life would be like after his injury. I was a counselor with NEP for a sports camp he attended after his injury and mentored him during his time there. I was happy to see him succeed in years after and to see him at NEP when he was there. Nancy Stone, thinking of you.
