On October 28, 2025, the Lord called Chara Denise Moody Brock home at 4:45 pm. She passed away at her home surrounded by family and friends.
Chara was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth "Cotton" Moody; her mother, Geraldine Joyce Franko Moody, her sister, Debra "Debbie" Jean Courier; her brother, Kenneth "Kenny" Moody; her son, Wesley Willis; her grandson, Henery Joseph Brock and her great niece, Mackenzie Joyce Moody.
She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Rickey L. Brock; her sons, Caleb (Vi) Willis and Drayton (Caroline) Brock; her sister-in-law, Dale Ann Davenport; her grandchildren, Brycen (Jasmine), Jackson, Cayden, Klaus Willis and Benjamin, Drayton, and Elijah Brock; her nieces and nephews, Brittany (Tyrone), Brandi, Bryce (Loren) and Blake (Nessa) Moody; and her cousins, Roxann (Doug) Johnson, Joe (Tina) Moody and Delmar Stockstill.
Chara was born in Greenville, SC, where she lived until she established a life in Biloxi, MS and then made Vancleave her home.
She loved dragonflies, cardinals, family and canning. She lived life to the fullest with a strong faith and fought until her last breath. Chara was certainly a one of a kind and very head strong. She loved hard and would tell you the hard truth, even when you didn't want to hear it. You knew it was coming when she would say, "I don't want to be ugly but..." In addition to that, Chara loved cooking and holidays which brought family together.
After all, Chara was all in one a mom, wife, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, and she rocked them all!!!
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd., Biloxi, MS, with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
