Charlene Ann Blake, 92, of Louisville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, with her family by her side.

She was born on August 10, 1933, in Louisville, one of three daughters to the late Charles A. Price and Mary V. Nevitt Price. Her husband, William F. Blake; sister Virginia E. Price; great-granddaughter, Josephine Blake Tyree and a son-in-law,

Jim Prather, preceded her in death.

Charlene was a proud 1951 graduate of Loretto High School, where she was a star left-handed bowler. She enjoyed spending time with her classmates throughout the years. A devoted Catholic, she was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church for over 50 years and was a lunchroom monitor at St. Albert School for over 30 years. She was a volunteer at church fish fries and picnics for many years.

Charlene enjoyed reading and spending time with her family at their frequent large gatherings. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren at their many activities. She was loving, generous, faithful, and selfless. Her family was very dear to her and she was their heart and home.

Charlene is survived by her eight children, Deborah Blake Carrico, William C. Blake (Debi), Denise Stamp (Bobby), Diane Prather, Donna Hellinger (Mickey), Michael Blake, Dana Blake Caudill (Chuck) and Kenneth Blake (Laura). In addition, she is survived by twenty grandchildren: six great-grandchildren with two more great-grandchildren on the way, and by her sister, Mary Jane Heim.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2025, at St. Albert the Great, 1395 Girard Drive, Louisville and will be laid to rest along side her husband in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, St. Matthews.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Albert the Great Catholic Church or to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
