Charlene Sue Boerner

Charlene "Sue" Boerner, 78, of Evansville, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. Sue was born on February 19, 1947, in Evansville to the late Melvin Eugene Hudson, Sr. and Esther Charlotte (Weyer) Hudson Mueller. Sue worked as the deputy clerk of Posey County, was a realtor with FC Tucker Realty and also as the manager and driving examiner of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in Mt. Vernon, Indiana. Surviving Sue are her husband of 58 years, Bob Boerner; two sons, Eric Boerner and Marc (Dawn) Boerner; brothers, Mel Hudson, Jr. and Richard (Janice) Hudson; grandchildren, Mac (Jessica) Boerner, Clay (Taylor) Boerner, Tristan (Kim) Boerner, Megan Shappell, Adam Boerner and Larson Boerner and five great grandchildren, Brylan Boerner, Hudson Shappell, Madison Boerner, Crosby Boerner and Hayes Elbrink. In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by sisters-in-law, Trudy Hudson and Marte Hudson. Funeral services for Sue will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 25, 2025, at The Vineyard Community Church, Pastor Troy Smith and Pastor Jeff Smith officiating. Private burial will follow in Salem Heusler Church Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until service time on Monday at The Vineyard Community Church, 851 N.
