Charlene Klimitchek, 93 of Muldoon, passed away in Moulton, on May 23, 2025, and went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her loving family by her side. She was born in Princeton, Illinois on July 12, 1931, to Charlie W. and Lula Mae (Null) Fulkerson. She moved to Texas as a child with her family that worked as traveling laborers. They settled their family homestead in Muldoon after leaving El Paso.
Charlene worked as a waitress and in hotel management. She enjoyed quilting, making dolls, and loved to travel. Charlene loved her family and grandchildren, and she will be dearly missed by those that knew her.
She is survived by her son, Calvin Klimitchek and wife, Betty of Moulton; her siblings, Kenneth Fulkerson; Larry W. Fulkerson and wife, Colleen; and Laverne DeWitt; grandchildren, Lisa Boyd and husband, Blake; and Amy Klimitchek; great grandchildren, Brianna Simons, Bryson and Brooks Boyd; and great-great grandchild, Khayson Louis; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Louis Klimitchek; second husband, Alvin Hoffman; brother, Paul Fulkerson; and sisters, Topsy Fenner and Velma Opal Fulkerson.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of South Texas.
Services for Charlene will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Flatonia Baptist Church in Flatonia, Texas. There will be visitation from 9:00 to 10:00, followed by the Celebration of Life at 10:00 a.m. Charlene’s urn will be laid to rest at a later date.
