WINSLOW, Charlene Paula age 70 of Millis died February 18, 2024, beloved wife of Paul D. Winslow.
Charlene was born December 18, 1953, in Framingham, Massachusetts to the late Charles and Helen [Spavold] Szymanski. Charlene (or Chip) attended Pondville Nursing School in Walpole and received her LPN license. She worked at Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick and Medway Country Manor in Medway before becoming a pool nurse at several nursing homes in the area. She also attended Mass Bay Community College nursing program and received her RN degree.
Charlene enjoyed acting in community theatre with Millis Theatre Group in Millis, N. E. T. Works community group in Shrewsbury and Walpole Footlighters where she served as secretary and acted in several plays.
Chip also loved cruising the seven seas with NCL, traveling on 25+ itineraries over a period of 20 years with her husband Paul and visiting countries in Europe, Scandinavia, Caribbean and three quarters of the way around South America.
Chip is survived by her husband Paul and daughter Laura and Laura's husband Eric and her grandson Henry Christopher.
On the Winslow side, she had niece Karen Crosby and Karen's husband Mike, and their children Ryan, Ethan, and Logan as well as nephew Mike Bottasso.
On the Szymanski side, she had nieces Debra Donald and Diane and nephew Terry.
There will be no wake, but a Memorial Service at the graveside is planned for late spring. Details to follow when completed.
