Pawtucket - Charles John Blogref,67, affectionately known as Charlie or Pop-Pop to those he loved, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Eastgate Nursing Home in East Providence, RI. Born on April 29, 1958, in Cumberland, RI, Charlie was a man whose life was marked by his loving nature, kindness, and a sense of humor that could light up any room.
Charlie spent the last five years of his life with his beloved partner, Robin Riffe, creating memories that will be cherished forever. The son of the late Stanley and Kathryn T. (Findesen) Blogref, Charlie's spirit will be carried on through his daughter, Tempest Howard of East Providence, and his siblings Kathryn Angus and her husband Jan of North Dighton, MA, Joyce Blogref of North Dighton, MA, and Ludavine Henry and her husband Michael of Cumberland. He was a doting uncle to Jennifer, Heather, Kerry, Bruce, and Michael, and a proud grandfather to Karim Edward (Buddy), Kit, Aalivia, Mariah, Zayden, Billy, Shanna, and Jordan, and he was also the great uncle of Ethan, Max, and Aidan.
For many years, Charlie worked as a construction handyman, a job that not only showcased his skill but also his work ethic and the pride he took in a job well done. His colleagues in the construction field knew him as a man who could be relied upon, someone who brought both craftsmanship and joy to the worksite.
Charlie's roots ran deep in the community; having lived in Pawtucket for over 30 years after moving from his birthplace in Cumberland, he was a fixture in the local area. A dedicated fan of the New England Patriots, Charlie's passion for the game was only matched by the warmth he extended to his fellow fans.
Those who knew Charlie will remember him as a man who lived life to the fullest, who loved without reservation and whose laughter was infectious. He approached every day with a smile, a kind word, and a joke, touching the lives of many and leaving behind a legacy of love and happiness.
