Charles Edward "Chucky" Brady, Jr. was born on December 16, 1950 in Xenia, Ohio to Charles Edward Brady Sr. and Geneva L. Brady. Charles went home to be with the Lord on September 9, 2024.
Charles gave his life to Christ at an early age. He was baptized at Third Baptist Church in Xenia, Ohio. Four years ago, he became actively involved with his family Bible Study and a prayer line was started by his cousin, Mrs. Eleanore Rhoden of Midloathian, Virginia. He looked forward to sharing the Word of God with his family and friends. Chucky, as he was fondly called, encouraged others to join the family Bible Study and prayer line on Wednesday and Thursday at 8:20pm.
Chucky graduated from Xenia High School in 1968. He attended Central State University and later joined the United States Air Force. After his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he worked at The Elliot Company until they closed. Then he pursued a career at Elano Corporation and Antioch Publishing Company.
He marched with the Color Guard for American Legion Post 517 and General Chappy James 776 Wolf Pack. Charles was co-founder of the Blue Cobras Youth Drill Team, sponsored by American Legion post 517.
Charles loved his family and looked forward to attending every family reunion and other family gatherings. He enjoyed talking to his cousins Brynda Hall and Shirley Howard every day. Chucky especially enjoyed video chatting with his Goddaughter, Kymberli Browder and her family of Houston, Texas. It was a joy for him to spend time with Josephine's grandchildren.
Chucky was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Geneva L. Brady, sisters Celena M. Brady and Freda Brady Quigg. He leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Edwina (Frank) Swann and brother, Clayton (Robin) Brady, his closest friend for 30 years, Josephine Fowler, Goddaughter, Kymberli Browder and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
