Charles Allen Brown

Charles Allen Brown, 64, of Ashland, Kentucky passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026, at UK Kings Daughters in Ashland comforted by his family.

Allen was born December 1, 1961, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital to the late Charles Gary Brown and Judith Phyllis Thompson-Brown.

Allen continued in the foot steps of his family by joining CSX as a brakeman in his late teenage years and had a devoted career until he retired. Allen supported and loved his family unconditionally, he really enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, you could almost always find him at their events cheering them on or even lending a hand! Allen loved the Cincinnati Bengals, playing guitar, and working on race cars especially his 1974 Duster.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Gail Brown.

Allen is survived by a cherished Uncle Ron Brown, and beloved brother Gregory Brown. Three sons, Cody Allen Brown (Hannah) of Flatwoods, Kentucky, Samuel David Brown (Mason) of Ashland, and Christopher V. Bond (Alyssa) of Flatwoods, one daughter Sara Jean Terry (Dalton) of Worthington, Kentucky, seven grandchildren, Garrett, Brooklynn, Paisleigh, Harper, Haisley, Jaxon, and Trey. A host of family members and friends that will sadly miss him.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Carman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Samuel Brown, Cody Brown, Dalton Terry, Mason Frisby, Trey Burton, and Jaxon Kennard.

Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Carman Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to be made to the family to offset funeral costs.
