Charles Edward Carter, 52, of Charlottesville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at the Hospice of the Piedmont. He was born on October 4, 1960, in Charlottesville, the son of the late Levi Quarles and Eula Carter Shelton. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Carter of Goochland. He is survived by one sister, Nancy Carter of Charlottesville; five brothers, James Carter and Brenda of Richmond, John Carter and Carolyn of Goochland, Curtis and Earl Carter of Goochland, and Curtis Quarles and Angela of Stanardsville; one aunt, Savannah Chamberlain of Charlottesville; two uncles, George and Joseph Chamberlain of Charlottesville; three special friends, a cousin, Frances Carter, Bobby Banks and Cynthia Holiday; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who were very close to him. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Holly Memorial Gardens, Rt. 29 North. R.I.P. PUDDIN U WILL TRULY BE MISSED.I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your loved one. Pudding and I grew up together and he always use to call me his little sister,we use to have somuch fun together and as we got older I would sit around and watch him and my brother Neil Wood and the rest of the guys box,Mr.Banks did a good job wit all of them.Puddin use to also work for and with my father Thomas Washington and the two of them kept me laughing about something and the to of them where the best of friends.When my father past a few years ago,Pudding was right by my side thew it all and all I can say is,Thank You For The Sweet,Kind,Loving Caring Man that you was.Today I lost a close and dear friend like family to me,but God got another angle and I know that he,my father and my mommy will be watching over me.I will truly miss u my friend.
