Charles "Chuck" Logan Klunder has gone to heaven and into the loving arms of his family. He was preceded to heaven by his parents: Anne & Toby Klunder, his brother, his sister and brother-in-law, Jamie & Rich Masters. He was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on January 5, 1950. His family owned a very large ranch, he was a true cowboy! Charles stated he answered to Chuck, as the only person who ever called him Charles was his father, when he was upset with him. Chuck played football in high school; he had his parents sign for him to enter the military since he wasn't 18 nor had he graduated. Chuck proudly served in the Marines, serving three years in Vietnam, during that time he was wounded twice. After the military, he was a police officer in Las Cruces, NM for several years before being hired away by Dowell Chemical Co. and moved to Farmington, NM in 1978. Thirty plus years later he decided to try something else and ended up selling vehicles, first at Ziems Ford and then with Hanson Honda; where he hoped to work until he retired. In 2004, in a twist of fate, a routine check-up procedure gone wrong completely up ended his entire life plans. So, in 2017 due to health issues, Chuck and Leslie moved to Sierra Vista, Arizona. In September 2024, they moved back home to Farmington to be with family in his final days. Throw in two battles with cancer thanks to Agent Orange and the world has lost an awesome man! He will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, honesty, as well as his love and commitment to his family first and foremost, and then to the military.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Leslie Klunder, his amazing daughter and son-in-law Karrah & Chris Shay, his three grandchildren, Alexander, Nicolas, Sydney (Jordan) Sledge, as well as two great-grandchildren Gracie-Anne & Finnegan.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, in the Chapel of Brewer, Lee, & Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute Street, Farmington, NM, followed by a private interment for the immediate family.
