Charles "C.J." Donchez

Charles "CJ" Donchez, 69, of Bethlehem, passed away on April 13, 2025 at his home. He was born on June 27, 1955, at St. Luke's Hospital in Fountain Hill, Pennsylvania.
CJ was the beloved son of the late Charles and Irene Donchez. He is survived by his sister, Donna Ford, and her husband Ron of Bethlehem Township; his brother, Frankie Donchez, and his wife Jayne, also of Bethlehem Township; his niece, Brianna Gulick and her husband Chris of Bethlehem Township; and his nephew, Anthony Ayers and his wife Jessica of Northampton. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Donchez-Watt.
CJ was a member of St. Joseph's Church, where he attended grade school in the 1960s, and graduated from Liberty High School in 1973. He spent many of his younger years working at Stefonak's Cabinetry before later moving onto a role as a tester at Certified Testing Labs.
He was well known for his love of the water-if it involved his boat and a fishing pole, CJ was hooked. A member of the Ranger Lake Rod and Gun Club, he never missed a chance to reel in a good catch. Off the lake, he marched to the beat of his own drum, with his passion for rock and roll music and a collection of records that was truly off the charts. In his younger years he also enjoyed bowling.
CJ Donchez truly lived life doing what he loved, surrounded by those who loved him. His memory will live on in the stories shared by those who knew him best. His bold humor, unforgettable Facebook memes, and one-of-a-kind spirit will be dearly missed.
Services: A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday April 22, 2025 at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St. Bethlehem, PA 18018, where a visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the memorial service.
