Charles Edward Frontz

Charles Edward Frontz, age 85 of Bellville, passed away on Wednesday evening, April 24, 2024, at his home surrounded by family and under the compassionate care of Avita Hospice and Cornerstone caregivers. Greeting him in heaven were his parents Cloyd & Cora Frontz, his parents-in-law Dick & Florence Jensen, his brother Paul L. Frontz, his daughter Sandee Leeka, and his grandson James Frontz.
The son of Cloyd and Cora (Mutchler) Frontz, Charles "Charley" was born January 28, 1939, in Ashland and graduated from Perrysville High School in 1957. Charley served in the Army and was honorably discharged as a Specialist Four. Through his brother Paul and sister-in-law Janet, he met Patricia Jensen. He was smitten and upon proposing told Pat, "This is forever." The two were married on April 28, 1962.
Charley worked at Tappan and retired after 38 years. He mastered as a skilled repairman, enjoyed solving mechanical problems and working with difficult puzzles, such as clock repair and fixing appliances. He enjoyed volunteering his services to help others.
Charley was a member of Bellville New Life Church of Christ where he had previously served as treasurer of the Friendly Worker's Sunday School class and was an usher and faithful servant. He was baptized into Christ, April 8, 1962.
He is survived by his loving wife of just a few days shy of 62 years, Patricia Frontz of Bellville; son Mike (Sherry) Frontz of Mansfield; grandsons Brandon (Luci) Baker, Ryan Leeka, Chandler Leeka, and granddaughters Kristin Baker and Julia Frontz; sister-in-law Janet Frontz; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dan (Connie) Jensen as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at New Life Church of Christ 195 W Durbin Ave, Bellville, OH 44813 where a memorial service in memory of Charley will begin at 11:00 AM officiated by Pastor Steve Kistler. Urn burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery with military honors.
